Excellent communication and ethical practices in difficult times
Not sure if an excellent rating is relevant. I booked on the Manta Queen 8 at the end of March and, after confirming with Khao Lak SA that the trip was still on, arrived in Phuket in plenty of time to take the cruise. However, with all the CV19 issues the trip was cancelled and they offered a credit, I pointed out that I had travelled because they had assured me the trip was still on and given the circumstances they provided a full refund.

So while I was not happy to have travelled so far to go diving just for the trip to be cancelled, I understand this was not their fault as all dive boats were also cancelled and since their communication was clear and timely and they behaved in an ethical and responsible manner, I will definitely dive with them next time I am in Phuket and would not hesitate to recommend the company to anyone looking for a trip to the Similans

They may seem like a group of friendly and welcoming scuba guys – and they are! – but underneath that is a very dedicated, organized and highly skilled team of professionals. All of the logistics were handled effortlessly. Dive briefings were clear and comprehensive. Dive groups were small so that guides could keep track of their divers and offer assistance if necessary. Food was great. And the boat crew was tireless and efficient. I was on Manta Queen 8 and Mark was an excellent tour leader. My dive guide Daniel was terrific––great dives, all. And I am confident all of the others were excellent as well. If I come back to Thailand, Khaolak Scuba Adventures is my first stop.

The adventure of a lifetime
We were traveling with a group of 5 three divers. They did a great job of looking after everyone non divers included. I have dove a few different places. 400 plus dives (mostly cold water and Caribbean) and my bucket list included Thailand. We prebooked on Manta Queen 8.Got the VIP package… Wow…. What a Great Experience… From the time of booking to the time to leave great….Very professional and organized (most dive shops I have dove with rely more on passion more than organization.) These guys have both. Our DM Mark was fantastic quickly realized that our certification did not reflect our ability and was able to allow us to experience everything. From ghost pipefish to whale shark… For me too many firsts to mention here. These guys have my 100 percent support. “Dive, eat ,sleep, Repeat. The best Mantra ever.

join the 4 days liveaboards to similar islands
I wound say the best and professional diving shop that you could find here.
The shop itself is neat and clean, they mark and record the equipment you borrow and make sure each pieces are steady and under well condition.
on the boat, the people (including the kitchen lady and stuff) are soooo nice and willing to help for the whole day. They prepare the equipment, help you to put the gear on.
Very graceful experience.
