What to Expect

The Similan Islands and its Whale Sharks! Liveaboard trip in this area is one of the best scuba diving experiences you will find in Thailand. Its huge granite boulders with caverns and arches, lush greenery and white sand beaches ring the nine islands, completing the view from above water. The marine ecology in this area is unparalleled, colourful schools of fish, coral reefs, and endangered species that welcome divers like the Whale Sharks or Manta Rays. Look out for such photogenic little critters as ghost pipefish, sea moths, frogfish, ribbon eels and many different nudibranchs. Koh Tachai and Koh Bon, members of the Similan Island National Park, are visited en-route to Richelieu Rock in the Surin Marine Park, and offer more Pelagics, Napoleon Wrasse and Night Diving for Macro-Critters.

Whatever your scuba diving pleasure might be, the Similan and Surin Marine Parks are the dive destinations that will satisfy your desires and give you the trip of a lifetime.

Great liveaboard. One of the best values for diving in the world! Richelieu Rock is not to be missed! The crew works so hard and everything is smooth

Khaolak Scuba was awesome! We spent 5 days on the Manta Queen 7 and I could not have been happier with my experience. The entire crew was fun, professional and safety-conscious. At any moment, I felt safe diving with comprehensive pre-dive briefings by trip leader J. He was a great instructor and very knowledgeable (especially about the many different creatures we saw). We had a blast diving with and learning from J. Food was good and the whole operation ran very smoothly. Overall it was a fantastic trip and I would definitely recommend diving with KSA for anyone who is considering it.

Many thanks to all the team at Kao Lak Scuba Adventures, the Manta Queen 7, Staff, Captain and crew. The 5 day live aboard was a wonderful Scuba adventure. The boat crew were super helpful also. To Tom, Bart and Johnny, great to hear your stories, Dive briefings and have your help also guys.

The tour went simply under Giorgio J Magni aka JZ. The Dive briefings arew superb and it was easy to see why his divers were coming back smiling artery each dive. Truly incredible local knowledge about the Andaman Sea Dive sites extraordinary.

Massive thanks to his superb assistant and our inductor supreme Alyssa Mitchell. Our skills in 19 dives in 5 days have truly blossomed with your feedback, guidance and experience. Thanks for helping us achieve our Nitrox certification, sharpen our buoyancy, breathing rates, and understanding the diverse marine life. Was great fun and laughs over our log book catch ups each night. I hope top dive again soon with you running your own boat.

To anyone looking to go on a live aboard for the first time like myself. The Manta Queen 7 was a truly memorable experience I can recommend. The mantra, Eat, Dive, Sleep, Repeat sums up the process, but not the abundance of food, friends and amazing coral and diverse marine life and typography of the islands, sunsets will offer you so much more than meets the eye. Just show up, as you transfers, bags, and gear arew all in capable hands so you get the best the Andaman Sea and Weather can offer.

Thanks again I hope to dive with you all again soon.

My very first liveaboard experience! it was better than expected. I was on Manta Queen 7 and enjoyed it so much, that I ended up doing another trip after the first one was finished 🙂
The crew and staff are super professional and very friendly. All aspects of the operation are very well run with a focus on safety first!

Jay (trip leader) gave very detailed and also fun dive briefings, he was always on time and very well organized. He is very competent and ran an excellent trip. It was great to learn from him all about marine life, as he graduated as a marine biologist. His guiding was really good, he went out of his way to locate and show us all different species of fish and creatures. All of the dive guides were friendly &helpful, they would sometimes switch divers between groups while we were underwater, so the people with slow air consumption could enjoy longer dives – really nice of them to do that.

The Thai crew was incredible! They did an outstanding job of taking care of the divers! Always with smile, totally helpful and patient. The food is very good and fresh.

I would definitely go back to that Manta Queen trip, highly recommended!
